Santa is ‘Comin’ to the Bullring’ For Christmas In July

(WOODHULL,NY)- Sun and warm weather has been filling the skies the past few weeks and hopefully it keeps up so drivers and fans can gear up for another week at ‘New York’s Toughest Bullring’. This Saturday July 20 is our ‘Christmas in July’ Bike and Helmet giveaway presented by the New York State Stock Car Association and Kibbe Concrete.
The special event of the night will see the kids of Woodhull Raceway take center stage. First, the track will offer their huge bicycle giveaways with each child receiving a raffle ticket that could see them take home a new bicycle. Several race teams at Woodhull are also donating new bike helmets to the cause, where a select few bike giveaways will include a new helmet to go with it.
The other special part of the race night will feature the kids participating in their third and final Power Wheels race of 2019. Kids in age groups 5 & Under and ages 6-10 will get to race on a mini Woodhull track on the frontstretch with their power wheels cars. Brett Buono Racing will be sponsoring this power wheels event making sure everyone gets an award.
Sign-ups will also be available for any kids interested in the Jr. Fan Club Corn Hole Tournament. The corn hole boards will be available for the Jr. Fans to practice and see if they would like to pair up with a driver and battle other teams for various prizes.
Representatives from the capital district-based NYSSCA program will be in attendance as well for their annual safety award night. NYSSCA is an organization designed to support the many competitors in dirt track racing with their membership program and initiatives like their injured drivers reserve fund that has supported countless drivers in their time of need.
All classes will be in attendance this Saturday. Including the Insinger Performance Modifieds, NAPA Crate Sportsman, Cummings Trucking RUSH Crate Late Models, Joe Willcox Performance Automatics Street Stocks, Johnson’s Auto Supply FWD, Woodhull Auto Supply Hobby Stocks, Daugherty Auto Sales and Service Mini Stocks and Warriors.
Fans can find their way into the grandstands Saturday at 4:30 for only $12 for adults 13 and up. Seniors 62+ and Students 8-12 will be $6. Children 7 and under are always free at Woodhull Raceway. Our weekly Early Bird Special runs from 4:30-5:30 and offers $1 off general admission. Hot laps will be slated to start at 6pm with the first green flag at 6:30pm for heat races. Free camping is offered on the speedway grounds for those wishing to make it a weekend of family, friends and dirt track racing.

Woodhull Raceway is located in Woodhull, NY, just 30 minutes West of Corning, NY and competes weekly on Saturday nights from mid-April through Labor Day Weekend. The track offers several special events including the Patriot Sprint Tour 360 Sprints in May and July and the Short Track Super Series Modifieds in early-August.
