For Immediate Release: June 1, 2019 -
(WOODHULL,NY)- Mother Nature is clearly not a fan of racing in this 2019 season. A big incoming rainstorm is targeted to hit Woodhull Raceway during the middle of the action.
Owner, Ted White made the call at 2 p.m. to cancel and save drivers and fans from coming in to get rained on.
Last week, 3 laps into the Insinger Performance Modified Feature lightning struck just over the hills leaving everyone to find coverage. Minutes later the rain came. Rain tickets from May 25 will be honored, June 8.
The 35-lap events for the George Williams Memorial and Scott Dennison Memorial will be made up later in the season, the date is still to be determined.
Armed Forces Night will kick off next week's events. Any active duty or veteran will receive free general admission June 8. There will be a complete show this night as well.
