(Woodhull, NY) Woodhull Raceway owners, Terry and Nikki Brewer have recently released class sponsors for each of the track’s eight weekly divisions.

Insinger Performance of Dushore, Pa., which is the Official Fuel Supplier of the Woodhull Raceway will return as the headline sponsor of the Modified Division. Bruce Insinger and his organization have been a staunch supporter of the Woodhull Raceway for decades and they will once again return in 2023 to sponsor the Woodhull Raceway’s premier division, the Mighty Modifieds which will find 2022 Track Champion, Joe Dgien back to defend last year’s title.

The participating NAPA Stores will again proudly promote the 602 Crate Sportsman Class at the historic Steuben County oval. Addison, Bath, Corning, Hornell, Lawrenceville and Wellsville NAPA Stores have teamed up to sponsor the Crate Sportsman Class which generally provides some of the best race action at the facility. It was also recently announced that the Westfield, Pa. NAPA Store has joined forces with all the current NAPA locations in sponsoring the highly competitive Crate Sportsman Division at Woodhull for the upcoming season. Lady competitor, Isabel Barron etched her name into the record books as the first ever female to win a Woodhull Raceway Track Championship. Her title drew a tremendous amount of local as well as national recognition and she will be back to defend her 2023 title.

Chris Daugherty, owner of Big Jim’s Wicked Tee’s in Pine Valley, NY will return in sponsoring a trio of classes in the rear wheel driven 4 Cylinder Mini Stocks, the 4 Cylinder Front Wheel Drive Class as well as the Youth Woodhull Warrior Division. Since swinging the doors open of his highly successful business which originated in Odessa, NY, Daugherty outgrew the original facility and moved his entire operation into a massive facility located on Rt. 14 in Pine Valley, just outside of Horseheads, NY. Beginning with custom graphic work including vehicle wraps for virtually every application including race cars, signs, banners and tee’s, employment at Wicked Tee’s has grown immensely and so has the workload. In addition to high quality in all their apparel and graphic work, Daugherty also takes great pride in his trophy and plaque business which is sought after by many race venues within the region including Woodhull. The ownership of Woodhull Raceway is pleased to have Big Jim’s Wicked Tee’s back onboard as the headline sponsor of the Mini Stock, FWD and Warrior Divisions. Jason Warner and Wes Houghtaling were both able to secure their first ever Mini Stock and FWD titles as did Warrior 2022 champ, Bradly Morseman. Morseman will be moving out of the Warriors and onto bigger things and it appears like both Warner and Houghtaling will return to defend their respective class titles.

After a successful decade and a half run as sponsors of the Street Stock Division, Joe and Jean Willcox of Joe Willcox Performance Automatics will slowly move into retirement and with that Southern Tier Customs will assume sponsorship of the Street Stock Class. Having raised the bar in the division, the Willcox duo have turned the reigns over to Terry Pierce and Becky Stewart of Southern Tier Customs who will assume a mountain of responsibility at the track including the traditional season ending Woodhull 100 for the Street’s. Both Pierce and Stewart have already started an aggressive attack on the promotion of the Street Stock Division with current plans calling for defending and two time track title holder, Brett Crawford returning in quest of a three peat. In addition, Southern Tier Customs will be wearing a multitude of hats at the track including photography work, securing laps for the Woodhull 100 as well as providing graphic work for the speedway in various capacities.

A pair of new marketing partners will join the speedway as class sponsors. Doug Gross Construction of Painted Post, NY will take control of the RUSH Crate Late Model Class. Company owner, Larry Knowles has been a previous Woodhull Raceway Track Champion in the Super Stock Division. He has watched as his two sons, Jason and Brian have worked their way through the ranks with both being on top of their game within the RUSH Crate Late Models. In addition to being one of the northeast’s more successful snow plowing operations, Doug Gross also provides Roll Off Containers, Caterpillar equipment rentals as well as trucking and site dirt work for both commercial and residential applications. As for the Knowles boys, Brian “Pork Chop” Knowles will return to defend his 2021 and 2022 LM Track Championships as he was able to hold off brother, “The Jet” Jason Knowles to claim the “22” title.

In addition to Doug Gross, KMD Excavation will climb on board as the new sponsor of the highly popular Hobby Stock Division. As this class continues to grow and impress, so does KMD Excavation. Owned by Paul Dgien and named after his two children, Kayden and Meadow, KMD Excavation is geared up for any type of site dirt work project including construction of new ponds, septic systems, ground work for new home construction as well as installation of underground infrastructure including water lines, gas, electric and septic. No job is to big or small and the Dgien’s have everything from dozers, excavators, and skid steer loaders to handle the job. Paul, Meadow and Kayden Dgien are all weekly competitors in the super competitive Hobby Stock Division and they are proud to hang their family owned business name on the class.

The Woodhull Raceway ownership is pleased to welcome Southern Tier Customs, Doug Gross Construction and KMD Excavation into the family of class sponsors for the 2023 season at the Woodhull Raceway. They will join a group of class marketing partners that have been involved at Woodhull for years including Insinger Performance, NAPA and Wicked Tee’s with all class sponsors receiving a tremendous amount of exposure throughout the entire 2023 season including multiple mentions during the weekly race events at the track as well as their respective names being included with the class they sponsor in all race results and race stories that are issued to the working media.

The next order of business for the Woodhull Raceway will be the Annual Arnot Mall Car Show upcoming on March 11 and 12, 2023. Woodhull and Outlaw Speedway will team up for this year’s event for the first time in nearly two decades and both venues have indicated that a large number of entrants have committed to this year’s event. Both Woodhull and Outlaw continue to accept entries as drivers are encouraged to go through each respective tracks Facebook and Web sites for more details.

This year’s Arnot Mall Car Show is co-sponsored by Swarthout Recycling of Beaver Dams and Lanes Yamaha of Watkins Glen.

Following the car show, racers will have less than a month to prepare for two open practice sessions at the historic Steuben County facility with April 8 and 15 set aside for test and tune.

As times for practice and pit gate entry prices become available, they will be posted on Facebook.
