(WOODHULL) – The month of August is going to be a busy one for Woodhull Raceway, as championships draw to a close and special events start to be crossed off the season schedule.

A rainout of the NAPA Crate Sportsman King of the Ring and an addition of a Mini Stock King of the Ring has called for several changes on the August schedule. The schedule on the Woodhull Raceway official website is now up to date, but this informational press release also outlines some of the changes.

July 22:

The July Street Stock Clash 4 Cash will be run on Patriot Sprint Tour Night July 22. The Street Stock Dash will run just prior to the Patriot Sprint Tour Dash, with both winners being interviewed simultaneously in Instant Heat Wood Pellets Victory Lane.

August 5:

Daugherty’s Auto Sales & Service has stepped up to sponsor a Mini Stock King of the Ring on August 5. The Mini Stocks will compete in a King of the Ring for the first time in the division’s history. This event will be held during intermission, just prior to the third and final Power Wheels race of 2017.

August 12:

The NAPA Auto Parts Crate Sportsman King of the Ring has been rescheduled for August 12, the same night as the annual 270 Micro Sprint Reunion. The King of the Ring will take place during intermission with great sponsor support from the division sponsor NAPA Auto Parts

August 19:

For the very first time, the Joe Willcox Performance Automatics Street Stocks will compete in a King of the Ring on August 19. This will also take place during intermission and will make history on the High Banks.

August 26:

A new event that landed on the schedule for 2017 is a special Crate Sportsman/Crate Late Model Dash sponsored by The Anonymous Race Fan at Woodhull. Last season’s caution free racing bonus program did not prove to be as fruitful for racers, calling for a new idea for the Anonymous Race Fan to give back to the racers. $500 will be on the line for the top three in points in the Crate Sportsman and Crate Late Model divisions who will be eligible. They will compete for $300-to-win for the overall winner and $200-to-win for the first car across the line from the opposite division that did not win the overall prize.

The fourth and final Joe Willcox Performance Automatics Street Stock Clash 4 Cash will also be held on August 26.
