(WOODHULL, NY) – It has been a long and tumultuous extended offseason, but the time has come to fire the engines and line up 2 by 2 for racing. New Owners and Promoters of Woodhull Raceway, Terry and Nikki Brewer, are ready to officially start their maiden voyage at the Steuben County Speedplant without race fans in attendance.

“We just want to express our thanks to our racers, crews and fans for their patience while we navigated the red tape and regulations New York State imposed on businesses like ours,” said Brewer.

“We have to start our season without fans which isn’t something we want to do- but have to do to get our season started. The time to go racing is now. We held a successful practice on Saturday and we are comfortable pressing on with that practice under our belts.”

The Opening Night action will be presented by local and loyal Woodhull Raceway sponsor Troups Creek Auto Parts and Troups Creek Heating. Troups Creek Auto Parts is located on State Route 36 in Troupsburg, NY and have been a loyal track sponsor for many years with the Heating brand of the company co-sponsoring.

Opening Night divisions include the Insinger Performance Modifieds, NAPA Crate Sportsman, Cummings Trucking Crate Late Models, Joe Willcox Performance Automatics Street Stocks, Woodhull Auto Supply Hobby Stocks, Wicked Tees Mini Stocks, Johnson Auto Front Wheel Drives and the Wicked Tees Warriors.

The Pits will open at 4:00PM with the season opening driver’s meeting scheduled for 5:45PM at the pit shack. Hot Laps will fire off at 6PM and the first green flag from Tony Van Pelt will fly at 6:30PM. Pit passes are set at $35 with Pit Passes for ages under 12 being a reduced price of $20. All divisions will be draw/redraw, transponders will be used.

In lieu of fans being able to attend the race program in the grandstands, there will be a live video feed provided on the Woodhull Raceway Facebook page. There will be more information out this week on a way for fans to make a small donation for the live video coverage.
