SCOTT DENNISON MEMORIAL RE-SET FOR SATURDAY, JUNE 5, 2021

Story By: Kenny Shupp Jr

(Woodhull, NY) After further review of the upcoming schedule of race action at the Woodhull Raceway, track owners Terry and Niki Brewer have determined that the Scott Dennison Memorial will be re-set for June 5, 2021 as part of Armed Forces and Active-Duty Night at the track sponsored by Hometown Excavation and the Nikk L Brew Restaurant.

“With a bunch of special events upcoming at the track over the next month we have decided the best opportunity to squeeze in the Annual Scott Dennison Memorial for the Joe Willcox Street Stocks will be next Saturday. Even though we already have a full night of racing with all eight of our regular classes which includes a special 30 lap feature for the Mini Stocks we are also going with the Dennison Memorial.” That according to the Brewer’s.

The Dennison Memorial is a traditional high-profile event that is run annually in memory of Scott Dennison who tragically lost his life at the track a decade and a half ago in an exhibition event. A who’s who list of competitors have hoisted the Scott Dennison Memorial Trophy and it is anticipated that a stacked field will be in competition on June 5 for the $1,000 to win 35 lap event for the Joe Willcox Street Stocks.

As part of the washed-out May 29 event a late date decision was made to fit in a King of the Bull Ring one on one single elimination event for the Woodhull Auto Supply Hobby Stocks, however with the rain out it is still uncertain when the event can be rescheduled.

Looking at the month of June at Woodhull there are special events galore including the King of the Ring for the RUSH Late Models, ULMS Late Model Show as well as the Annual Jim Williams Memorial Fireworks Extravaganza.

Track management along with fans and drivers are keeping their fingers crossed that more favorable weather conditions will greet everyone involved as we flip the calendar to the month of June.
