2022 ARNOT MALL CAR SHOW PRESENTED BY SWARTHOUT RECYCLING IS ANOTHER HUGE SUCCESS

Story By: KENNY SHUPP JR PROMOTIONS AND CONSULTING LLC - WOODHULL, NY - With Swarthout Recycling of Beaver Dams, NY as the headline sponsor, the Woodhull Raceway was able to put the Annual Arnot Mall Car Show into the books on Saturday and Sunday, March 12 and 13, 2022.

An exceptionally good turnout of cars that compete weekly at the historic Steuben County Facility was on hand representing each of Woodhull’s weekly divisions of competition. Thousands of fans attended the two-day event as they made their way thru the massive Big Flats, NY Arnot Mall Facility taking in the sights and talking with drivers.

Not even a major snowstorm that came thru the northeast on Saturday could discourage drivers and fans from making their way to see all that was happening at the Annual Woodhull Raceway Car Show.

Woodhull Raceway owners, Terry and Niki Brewer had their traditional spot in Center Court as they came armed with 2022 schedule of events cards, Woodhull Raceway apparel and answered questions from those who stopped by their display table.

“We are extremely pleased with the turnout of drivers, cars and fans that came out over the weekend to take in the show. With the bad economic situation coupled with a lot of snow on Saturday, high gas prices at the pump we were not sure what kind of a turnout we would get. However, people needed their race fix, and the response was particularly good. These teams worked hard over the winter getting their cars prepped for the upcoming season and they wanted to show off their creations to the fans who came out.” That according to Niki Brewer.

Each car and team that had machines entered in the show were proud to display their equipment with many drivers handing out goodies to the young race fans, signing autographs and posing for photos and selfies.

“This is the one time during the year that fans especially the kids can get up close to the drivers. Once the season begins everyone has their game face on and in many cases the fans do not get to mingle with the competitors as they are in the pit area working on their cars.” That once again according to the Brewers.

All total some two dozen different race cars were at the show with at least one machine representative of every class that races weekly at the track with many drivers and car owners cautiously optimistic of what the 2022 season has to offer and many sharing concerns of the rising costs of tires, race fuel, bolt on parts, engine components along with every rising costs of just getting to the track. When questioned most drivers indicated that they would focus their “22” activity at Woodhull with little or no visits to other venues all due to the economy and the rising cost of travel.

Terry and Niki Brewer are thankful to event sponsor, Swarthout Recycling for once again sponsoring the Annual Woodhull Raceway Arnot Mall Car Show.

“We cannot thank Brian Swarthout and his family enough for their continued support of this event. Swarthout Recycling has been onboard as the headline sponsor of this car show for close to fifteen years and we just could not put on a show of this magnitude without their marketing involvement.”

With the 2022 Woodhull Raceway Arnot Mall Car Show now a pleasant memory, the next item of business will be two practice dates at the track on two consecutive Saturdays. April 2 and 9 are scheduled as test and tune dates where drivers will have ample time to shake down their equipment for the upcoming season which begins on Saturday, April 16 as Close Racing Supply will sponsor the night of action highlighted by a NAPA 602 Crate Sportsman Event paying $1,000 to win.

The Insinger Performance Modifieds will open their 2022 campaign the following week on April 23 with White’s Repair and Towing presenting a Great 8 Show featuring a $2,000 to win Modified season opener.

As part of the Woodhull Raceway Arnot Mall Car Show a guaranteed Season Pit Pass to the track was issued to one luck driver that had their machine entered in the show. Congratulations to Dylon Morseman, who last season finished sixth in the Mini Stock Point’s as he will receive the Season Pit Pass after a random draw of all entrants.

With tops turvy weather in the forecast for the next few weeks, fans and drivers are encouraged to keep up with any late breaking news surrounding the two practice dates on April 2 and 9.
