(WOODHULL, NY) – A new chapter begins in 2019 for former Woodhull Raceway Media Intern Megan Dupuy.

2019 will see Dupuy trade in her title of "Media Intern" for "Media Director" as she will take the reigns from Steven Ovens, who served in that role since 2016. The announcement of Dupuy's new gig came this past weekend from Ted & Brandi White at the Swarthout Recycling Arnot Mall Car Show. The Watkins Glen, NY native will handle all public relations work including press releases, race reports, social media content, weekly points updates and being a liason with the track's Junior Fan Program and outside media contacts.

Dupuy is no stranger to Woodhull- she has been working as Woodhull Raceway's Media Intern since 2016, logging hours for her college curriculum internship. She is a Keuka College Junior, studying in the field of communications and has had a goal of taking on this type of role since starting her internship.

"I am so excited to get to work here in a couple weeks at the track," said Dupuy. "Since I have been at Woodhull back in 2016, it was my goal to one day take on a role like this. This is a big step for me toward achieving my future career goals."

Dupuy was honored in December with the track's 2018 Media Award for her continued work in expanding Woodhull's online and social media presence. A lot of this work was behind the scenes writing driver profile articles, creating social media content across many platforms, handling stats and information during the race program and being a point contact to assist wherever needed with the track's Junior Fan Program.

"Megan was a welcome addition to our racing family and she has learned a lot through interning with us," said Woodhull Raceway owner Ted White. "We're happy to be able to add her to our staff and know she will pick right up where Steve left off. This was why we started the intern program and now we get to see the benefits."

With Dupuy vacating the Media Intern role, Woodhull Raceway is seeking any interested parties that are looking to gain internship experience in the field of motorsports public relations, event management and marketing. Any interested parties in this exciting internship opportunity is encouraged to contact Dupuy by email at woodhullracewaypr@gmail.com. This internship can begin as early as April 20.
