Story by Kenny Shupp Jr.

(Woodhull, NY) With the regular season including the point finale in the record books, the Woodhull Raceway will now focus on post season play and to kick things off it will be a $2,500 to win Modified 30 lap special set for Saturday, September 10, 2022.

Louie’s Gun Shop is located on West Morris Street in Bath, NY and is a buyer and seller of firearms and ammo. Customers rave about the place claiming that “If Louie’s doesn’t have it, they can get it.” If you are looking for a specific firearm, handgun or ammunition Louie’s Gun Shop is the place to turn for all your outdoor shooting needs. You can go to www.louiesgunshop.com. or www.facebook.comLOUIESGUNSHOP.

The Mighty Insinger Performance Modifieds at Woodhull have boasted good car counts throughout the season and the added money will get the attention of many outside race teams. Track regulars in cousins Joe and Jake Dgien along with Donnie Lawson, Dayton Brewer and Russ Morseman will all be in action vying for the first place winner’s check.

Also seeing action will be the NAPA 602 Crate Sportsman. The NAPA stores in Addison, Bath, Corning, Hornell, Wellsville and Lawrenceville have proudly sponsored this high profile division for years with the class producing plenty of excitement week after week.

Armstrong logged on at the beginning of the season to market the RUSH Crate Late Models and the relationship has boded quite well. The competition in this class is top notch with numerous feature winners gracing victory lane throughout the year and you can expect a great show from this class on September 10 for sure.

For over ten years, Joe and Jean Willcox have successfully sponsored the popular and classy looking Street Stocks at Woodhull and they will join the September 10 card. Albeit the numbers have been down just a bit this season mostly due to a tough economy, you can always count on this division to produce fender to fender action with numerous different feature winners visiting the Pepsi Victory Lane in 2022.

Big Jim’s Wicked Tee’s sponsored Mini Stocks will be a part of the night of action. Company owner, Chris Daugherty has seen his business explode over the past few years with high demand for screen printing and graphic design at a fever pitch.

The Front Wheel Drive Division will be on track for the Sept 10 special and even though car counts were not up to par throughout the year, post season activity often draws machines from outside the area.

Last but certainly not least the Hobby Stock Division will tout the 2nd Annual Billy Joe Birdsall Memorial with the running of the King Bop Dirty Event. Last season piles of lap money and other contingencies went out to racers in an event won by invader, Bubba Burnell. The Birdsall Family hopes that this year’s event will be bigger and better than last.

Gates for the September 10, 2022, event will find gates opening at 3:30 pm. The first green flag waves at 5:30 sharp.

If gate and start times should change due to fall weather conditions, it will be posted at www.Facebook.com/WoodhullRaceway/
