(Woodhull, NY) The Earth Shaking, Ground Pounding, Monsters of the Mid-way will be coming to the Woodhull Raceway on June 19.
The Chris Zuver promoted United Late Model Series (ULMS) will head to the high banks for their only appearance of the 2021 season and many of the tour regulars are expected to be in attendance including the likes of such standout competitors as Max Blair, Boom Briggs, Bump Headman, Greg Oakes and local Late Model Star, Bryce Davis of Canisteo.
It has been a decade since the ULMS Super Late Models have seen the Woodhull Raceway with the last event coming in 2011. Prior to that the R and R promoted Late Model Reunion in the Boonies was held annually for decades where the top McKean County Speedway Late Model Drivers would find their way to Woodhull to see who could tame the high banked one-third of a mile clay oval
Such wheelmen as Bob Close, Bob the Bird Baldwin, King Richard Dick Barton, Scott LeBarron, Big Brother Dan Stone and the Hoffman Brothers have all attended previous Late Model Shows at Woodhull and with most now in retirement it opens the door for a new generation of drivers to find victory lane.
“We are extremely excited to have the ULMS Late Models come to Woodhull, stated Woodhull Raceway owners Terry and Niki Brewer. It has been a long time since there was a full blow Late Model Show has been run at this track and the fans are hungry to see the Super Late Models return to Woodhull.”
Historically the Late Model Reunion and the previous ULMS Show has drawn huge crowds as there are many Late Model fans in this region.
“Many people have commented to us that they really wanted to see the Late Models return to Woodhull. Prior to purchasing the track, we were here as car owners and spectators, and we saw firsthand how the crowd responded when the Super Late Models came into town.” That once again according to the Brewer’s.
Also, on the aggressive card of events for the June 19 show include the Insinger Performance Modifieds, The NAPA Crate Sportsman, the Joe Willcox Performance Street Stocks along with the Woodhull Auto Supply Hobby Stocks. The Johnson Auto Supply Front Wheel Drives, the Big Jim’s Wicked Tee’s Mini Stocks as well as the Wicked Tee’s Warriors are all scheduled to run feature only events. The Cummings Trucking RUSH Late Models will have the night off.
The Woodhull Raceway will proudly welcome Lamb and Webster as the nightly event sponsor as representatives of the company will enjoy the night of action from the confines of a VIP Tower high atop the front straight away.
Lamb and Webster has been a major marketing partner at Woodhull for decades and their presence at the track is huge in 2021. In addition to sponsoring the ULMS Late Model Night, L and W also has infield signage, 2021 track schedule card advertising and they also sponsor the Woodhull Raceway Victory Lane. In addition, Lamb and Webster will also sponsor the Annual LUCAS OIL Tractor Pull set for July 24.
According to Lamb and Webster local Woodhull, NY store manager, Ed Presher, “We have had an exceptionally good working relationship with the track over the years. Many of the fans that attend the track are our customers. We spend a great deal of time promoting L and W at the Woodhull Raceway and it has paid off in a big way. By sponsoring the ULMS Show it will give all the Lamb and Webster store locations even better exposure.”
