Woodhull, NY- The Woodhull Raceway will welcome representatives of Hatfield Real Estate as well as the Canisteo Police Club, Hornell Police Club, Corning Benevolence Association and the Steuben County Deputies Association to the track as they will be the nightly event sponsors of a Regular Show (minus Late Models) on Saturday, July 10, 2021. Woodhull has suffered thru a season filled with rained out events as Mother Nature has won on four different occasions.
“It has been difficult to get into a rhythm thus far due to the number of wash outs we have experienced in 2021, stated Woodhull owners, Terry and Niki Brewer. We have been losing at least one show a month since April when we opened for the year including the big ULMS Show on June 19. Fortunately, we were able to get that event re-scheduled.
Second year Woodhull Raceway owners/promoters, Terry and Niki Brewer will welcome members of the local Fire and Rescue Squads as well as EMS and Law Enforcement Officials on Saturday.
A long tradition of having Fire and Rescue Night that began decades ago will continue in 2021 after a year off in 2020 due to regulations surrounding the Covid 19 Pandemic which shut down all fan and special event participation at the historic Steuben County facility.
“We are extremely proud to welcome all of our local Fire, Rescue, EMS, First Responders and Police as our special guests at the track for a night of relaxation away from their hectic professional lives. All they need to do is show applicable identification and they are allowed access into the facility free of charge. It’s our way of saying thank you to the men and women that have thankless jobs and provide a valuable community service.” That according to the Brewer’s.
All Fire Departments, Ambulance Squads and Police Agencies are welcome to bring along any vehicles that they would like to display during the night of activity as they will be located at the rear of the grandstand seating area and it is all presented by the Canisteo Police Club along with the Hornell Police Club, The Corning Police Benevolence Association as well as the Deputies Association County Steuben
We’re keeping our fingers crossed that the weather patterns straighten out so we can get back into some normalcy.”
On the card of events, it will be regular feature’s right across the board with the Johnson Auto Supply FWD tentatively set to run a special 30 lap feature. The Insinger Performance Modifieds will head up the night of action along with the NAPA Crate Sportsman. Also seeing action will be the Joe Willcox Performance Automatics Street Stocks, the Woodhull Auto Supply Hobby Stocks as well as the Big Jim’s Wicked Tee’s sponsored Mini Stocks and Warrior Divisions. During intermission will be the rescheduled Hobby Stock King of the Bull Ring which will be a 1v1 elimination style of events until a winner has climbed his way to the top.
Both pit and grandstand gates for the July 10 show open at 4:30 pm and Woodhull does offer an Early Bird Special for the first hour offering a buck off the regular Adult General Admission ticket price. Seniors 62+ and kids 8-12 receive a discount and 8 years of age and under are admitted free when accompanied with an adult.
