Alfred State College Presents The 360 Patriot Sprint Tour

Saturday, May 7, 2022, is the date for the first of two Woodhull PST events of the season.

Story By: Kenny Shupp Jr. Promotions and Consulting LLC.

(Woodhull, NY) The staff and management of the Woodhull Raceway are pleased to announce the return of the highly popular Patriot 360 Sprint Tour to the famous Steuben County Facility.

“We are thrilled to have the PST 360 Sprints make their return to Woodhull in 2022, stated Woodhull Raceway owner, Niki Brewer. The drivers of the Patriot Sprint Tour always put on a great show here at the track. Even though Woodhull is in the middle of what many consider Modified Country, the fans could care less as they turn out in droves each season to watch the sprints in action.”

The great equalizer at Woodhull is the configuration of the facility which features a paper clip design with long straight aways and tight, high banked corners. The layout is vastly different from what most of the racers are used to and it calls for a special chassis set up and driving style.

Multi time PST overall series champion, Chuck Hebing of Ontario, NY along with his car owner, Ron Wilkins of Hammondsport have been a tough combination to beat over the past decade at Woodhull with the pair having won numerous A Main Events on the high banked one-third of a mile red clay oval. Hebing will once again be the odds-on favorite to extend his Woodhull Raceway PST win list, however he will have to contend with numerous other standout drivers like Kyle Drum, 2021 PST Champion, Jason Thomas, Jonathan Preston and Jared Zimbardi.

Also on the May 7 card will be the Insinger Performance Modifieds, the NAPA 602 Crate Sportsman and the Joe Willcox Performance Street Stocks. Joining in on the action will also be the Hobby Stocks, Front Wheel Drives, Wicked Tee’s 4 Cylinder Mini Stocks as well as the Wicked Tee’s Woodhull Warriors.

The Armstrong RUSH Crate Late Model Division will have the night off.

Gates for the show open at 4:30 with racing at 6:30 pm.

Representatives of Alfred State College will be onboard to sponsor the event as they will enjoy the night of action from the comfort of the VIP area high atop Woodhull’s massive front straightaway grandstand seating area.
