(WOODHULL, NY) – Two local dirt tracks will work together to promote each other's Fall Specials for the next several weekends. Ted and Brandi White's Woodhull Raceway and Jim Johnson's Genesee Speedway will exchange Guaranteed Starting Spots for their upcoming Fall Specials in the month of September.
The first of the guaranteed starting spots will be on the line this coming Saturday at Woodhull Raceway, who will hold the 14th Annual Lyle Sherwood Memorial presented by Griffith Energy. The winners of the Street Stock and Crate Sportsman divisions at Woodhull on September 8 will earn guaranteed starting spots for Genesee's racing program on Saturday September 15.
Genesee's program on Saturday September 15 includes a $1,500-to-win Crate Sportsman show as well as a $1,000-to-win Street Stock race.
During Genesee's 2nd Annual Crate Topless Nationals on September 15-16, Woodhull Raceway will offer a guaranteed starting spot to Genesee's 9/15 Crate Sportsman and Street Stock winners for their September 22 running of the Street Stock Woodhull 100 and Crate Sportsman 30 Lap Special.
Woodhull's Street Stock 100 pays $1,000-to-win and $100-to-start, which includes an already posted $5,500 purse and over $4,200 in contingencies and lap money program. When you also add the Gambler's Bonus that will be available, the total purse and prizes swells well over $10,000!
"We're excited to work together with another area track, as we often do throughout the season," said Woodhull Raceway owner and promoter Ted White. "Dirt tracks are better together than we are as individuals and it's great to see the promoters at Genesee feel the same way."
Both tracks encourage fans and drivers to get out and support Woodhull and Genesee's Fall Specials, as there is no better racing than the Full Fendered Frenzy and the Crate Topless Nationals!
