Untimely Rain Forces Cancellation At Woodhull

(WOODHULL, NY) – Two untimely rain storms passed through around 5:00pm and 7:15pm knocked out racing activity at Woodhull Raceway before racing even got a chance to start.
Predicted storms throughout the day never transpired, giving race officials confidence that Lamb & Webster and Southern Tier Logistics Night would get in without a hitch. However the storm at 5:00pm put the entire night behind with track preparation, leading to a heavy storm at 7:15pm that led to officials losing the track surface altogether.
Rains returned less than an hour later, making continuing the show a very tall task.
The Patriot Sprint Tour will return to Woodhull Raceway on Saturday August 25, which also falls on Legends of Woodhull Night. It will be a major night of action both on and off the track as the very first class of the Woodhull Raceway Hall of Fame will be inducted on the track before the heat races fire off.
Ticket stubs and pit passes fro July 14 will be good on August 25 only, when the Patriot Sprint Tour returns. The 50/50 from July 14 will be carried over to the July 21 50/50 drawing on Kibbe Concrete/NYSSCA Night.
