(WOODHULL) – Saturday night May 12 will see Mike Emhof’s A-Verdi Storage Containers Patriot Sprint Tour return to the third-mile bullring at Woodhull Raceway.

When the 360 sprint cars take to “New York’s Toughest Bullring” it is a sight of epic proportions as the skill of the drivers and the raw horsepower of the methanol breathing 360 cubic inch engines collide.

Last season saw Bryan Howland sweep the season at Woodhull, in what was dubbed his last full-time season of competition. Howland has already dabbled with his car in 2018, so a possible sighting of the 51 on Saturday is not out of the question.

One driver seeking redemption at "New York's Toughest Bullring" will be "Doc" Steve Collins. Collins was a few laps away from victory, before slower traffic snatched victory from him allowing Howland to fly by for the lead and the win.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early at 4:30 when the gates open, as they will be greeted by Patriot Sprint Tour drivers. Several drivers from the Patriot Sprint Tour pit area will be on hand at the PST Apparel trailer to sign autographs for fans of any age from 4:30PM until 5:15PM. The PST trailer will be open with merchandise and photos for sale if fans want to grab a photo of their favorite driver to have signed at the autograph session.

It will also be an interesting week for Woodhull Fantasy League competitors as Patriot Sprint Tour drivers ARE eligible to be a “Write In” driver in the Highbank Hustlers division. Will a Patriot driver find their way into fantasy lineups? Or will teams choose to go with the weekly Woodhull regulars?
