(WOODHULL) – Costy’s Energy Services presents a full weekend of racing to close out the 2017 season at ‘New York’s Toughest Bullring.’
A two-day show with special events for a majority of Woodhull’s weekly divisions will kick off Friday night. The Crate Sportsman will take center stage with an $800-to-win feature event that is a tune up for the last stop of the season for the Grit Series on Saturday.
The Crate Late Models, Street Stocks, Open Mini Stocks and Open Front Wheel Drives will also be on the Friday night car. The event format for all classes will be a draw, redraw for the top twelve qualifiers.
Friday night general admission is set at $12 when the gates swing open at 5:00. Senior citizens and ages 8-12 will be set at $6. Pits open at 4:30 with a $25 pit pass on Friday night. Racing will take the green flag at 7:00.
Saturday night’s Bullring Challenge championship night will boast a 40-lap $3,000-to-win Big Block/Small Block Modified shootout, with all cars having to weigh 2,400 pounds and allowing any tire with a max size of 92”. A lot of interest has been expressed from drivers outside the area to compete this weekend.
The Grit Racing Series Crate Sportsman will also be on the card, racing for $1,000-to-win and racers receiving $100 just to take the green flag. There will be a $20 entry fee collected by Grit Series officials on site.
Also on the card will be Open races for each of the Street Stocks, Mini Stocks and Front Wheel Drives. The event format for all classes will be a draw, redraw for the top twelve qualifiers.
A reminder to all fans and teams that Saturday’s show at Woodhull will take the first green flag of the night at 5:30pm. The Pit area will open at 3:00 with pit passes being set at $35.
Fans can find their way into the grandstands Saturday at 3:30 for only $15 for adults 13 and up. Seniors 65+ and Students age 8-12 will pay a reduced price of $8. Children 7 and under will be free of charge. Free camping is offered on the speedway grounds for those wishing to stay over and camp and make a weekend of it with friends and family.
