(WOODHULL) – Kibbe Concrete and the New York State Stock Car Association will team up to present the racing card on Saturday night at “New York’s Toughest Bullring.”
The special event of the night will see the Joe Willcox Performance Automatics Street Stocks go fifty laps in distance, for a $750 top prize. This race will see a bolstered payout throughout the Street Stock field and will serve as one of the several tune-ups in 2017 for Woodhull’s annual hundred lap special at the end of September.
Representatives from the capital district-based NYSSCA program will be in attendance as well as for their annual safety award night. NYSSCA is an organization designed to support the many competitors in dirt track racing with their membership program and initiatives like their injured drivers reserve fund that has supported countless drivers in their time of need.
It is also Woodhull’s annual ‘Christmas in July’ special, which will see countless bicycles raffled off in different age groups. An effort that supports and engages the sport’s youngest fans, creating lasting memories at their local dirt track.
Little Miss Woodhull will also be crowned, and a final tally announced as to how many boxes of food will be donated to the Woodhull Food Bank.
Also on the racing card for Saturday night will be the Insinger Performance 370 Modifieds, NAPA Crate Sportsman, SWL Awards & Photos Crate Late Models, Joe Willcox Performance Automatics Street Stocks, Daughtery’s Auto Sales & Service Mini Stocks, Woodhull Auto Supply Front Wheel Drives, Daugherty’s Auto Sales & Service Warriors and Hobby Stocks.
Fans can find their way into the grandstands Saturday at 4:30 for only $11 for adults 13 and up. Seniors 65+ and ages 8-12 will be $6. Children 7 and under are always free at Woodhull Raceway. Pit passes have been set at $25.
Our weekly Early Bird Special runs from 4:30-5:30 and offers $1 off general admission. Woodhull Raceway offers plenty of space for free camping on site. The green flag for the first set of heat races will be dropped by Scott Lyon at 6:30.
