For Immediate Release – May 18th, 2016 –

(WOODHULL) - This Saturday night, May 21, Woodhull Raceway gets back on track just one week after dropping their first event of the season to rain. Saturday night’s racing for the George Williams Memorial Races will be presented by longtime Woodhull supporters Griffith Energy and the Elkland Moose.

Griffith Energy is a well-known name in the Northeast for your energy needs from fuel to heating to air conditioning and much more, you can find it all at Griffith. They serve three different states in the Mid-Atlantic from any of their twelve different locations. Visit Griffith Energy online at www.griffithenergyservices.com

The Elkland Moose will also present the action on Saturday night and are no strangers to racing on “New York’s Toughest Bullring.” Elkland Moose sponsors several race teams that compete weekly on the High Banks. Located at 102 E. Main St in Elkland, PA, the Elkland Moose can be reached with membership inquiries and other Lodge business at (814) 258-5552.

This week, the Insinger Performance 370 Modifieds will go to battle for 35 Laps, with the winner walking away with a cool $2,000. With Grant Hilfiger and Cory Costa having put their names on the board with victories already this season, there exists a stout list of Modified talent hungry to claim their first victories of 2016.

The list of favorites will be led by second-high point man Boyd McTavish, driving for the Herrington Motorsports team’s No. 1 entry. McTavish has a one-point edge on seventeen-time and defending track champion Billy Van Pelt and two points on sophomore sensation Dillon Groover from Beaver Dams. With drivers like Kenny Peoples Jr., Donnie Lawson, Mike Bills and Russell Morseman needing to shake slow starts- the field will be wide open on Saturday night.

Alongside the Modifieds are the NAPA Crate Sportsman, Joe Willcox Performance Automatics Street Stocks, Daughtery Auto Sales Mini Stocks, Woodhull Auto Supply FWD and the SWL Awards 360 Late Models.

Fans can find their way into the grandstands this Saturday at 4:30 for only $13 for ages 13 and up. Seniors and ages 8-12 are just $7 with children 7 and under always free at Woodhull Raceway.
