Media Contact: Steven Ovens - For Immediate Release – April 29th, 2018 – Joe Kaminski photo - (WOODHULL, NY) – Mother Nature stepped aside and let Woodhull Raceway take center stage as the only Modified track in New York State get their event in Saturday night. It was a season opener that saw a passing shower roll through Steuben County at 3:30, but provided enough clearing to get their complete program in before rains came back just after 11:00. Billy Van Pelt started the defense of his 2017 track championship and began his quest for a record 20th title with a big victory in the Insinger Performance Modifieds 25-lap feature event on Pepsi & Mountain Dew Night.

Snow, Cold Forecast Cancels Woodhull Season Opener

Media Contact: Steven Ovens - For Immediate Release – April 19th, 2018 – (WOODHULL, N.Y.) – Falling snow and cold temperatures are the culprit this week, leading to Ted White’s decision to cancel opening weekend for the second straight week at Woodhull Raceway. Snowfall at the track overnight Wednesday and Thursday morning, along with race time temperatures expected to be in the mid-30’s and dropping rapidly made Saturday night’s program impossible to put on. “We don’t feel that it’s fair to the fans to ask them to support us with weather like we are expecting to have Saturday,” said White Thursday morning. “Next week already looks like better weather, so we wil

Woodhull Season Opener Cancelled; Open Practice Saturday 2pm-6pm

Media Contact: Steven Ovens - For Immediate Release – April 12th, 2018 – (WOODHULL, N.Y.) – Mother Nature is showing her cards this week in the Twin Tiers, and those cards are not cards race fans were hoping to see. Wet weather and already wet grounds across the property at Woodhull Raceway has forced track officials to cancel the season opener scheduled for Saturday night. “New York’s Toughest Bullring” and its fans will have to wait one more week to get their dirt track fix. An open practice has been scheduled for Saturday afternoon instead from 2:00-6:00. A move that track owner Ted White said was the only call his team could really make. “If we didn’t get a

David DuBois (NAPA Crate Sportsman) and Noah Talada (Joe Willcox Performance Automatics Street Stocks) were two examples that stood out as they took advantage of the mall show to spread awareness for the Badge of Honor Association and Mission 22 on the sides of their machines. DuBois, a local Sportsman hotshoe who recently took over the driving duties of the family-owned No. 29, cultivated a marketing s

April 7 Practice Night Cancelled At Woodhull Raceway

Media Contact: Steven Ovens - For Immediate Release – April 4th, 2018 – (WOODHULL, NY) – We will let you have this one Mother Nature. For those keeping track at home, let the 2018 season show 1 point in the wet weather column and a goose egg in the Woodhull Raceway column. Wet weather and frigid temperatures forecast over the next several days has forced Woodhull Raceway owner Ted White to cancel the April 7 practice night for this coming weekend. Track conditions are looking great, however the rain over Tuesday and early Wednesday has made the grounds around the speedway impossible to host the racers' trucks and trailers to tow their cars.
